First Country is a compilation of the best new country songs, videos and albums that dropped this week.

Countless EPs and all-star collaborations were released Friday (Sept. 13). HARDY dropped his standout Hixtape Vol. 1, which includes 10 tracks of features including everyone from Cole Swindell, Dustin Lynch and Thomas Rhett to Trace Adkins, Joe Diffie and Tracy Lawrence. Additionally, in promotion of her new Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Tour launching tonight, Miranda Lambert shared a cover of “Fooled Around and Fell In Love” featuring Maren Morris, Elle King, Ashley McBryde, Tenille Townes and Caylee Hammack.

Here are several projects to spin this weekend.

Emily Hackett, By the Moon

Emily Hackett bares her soul on the reflective EP By the Moon. Led by latest single “Easy,” which tells the story of a woman who struggles with her decisions during a relationship, the singer-songwriter provers her ability at capturing the listener’s attention wholeheartedly. Hackett’s confessional lyrics and haunting vocals remain at the forefront of the project as can be heard on standout songs like the soulful gospel-infused number “Worth the Weight” and heartbreaking piano ballad “Gave Him Away.”

HARDY, Hixtape Vol. 1

HARDY released one of the most ambitious projects of the year so far with his feature-heavy Hixtape Vol. 1. A who’s-who release of country legends, up-and-coming acts and contemporary radio mainstays, the versatile album spans genre lines with hip-hop leaning songs like “He Went to Jared” featuring Morgan Wallen and “Boy From the South“ with Swindell and Lynch, and backroad jams like “What They Make Backroads For” including Lawrence and Jake Owen and “No Place Like Hometown” with Keith Urban and Hillary Lindsey.

Kip Moore, „She’s Mine“

Kip Moore lets his fun side shine through in the feel-good new video for his latest single “She’s Mine.” Whether he’s in the laundromat learning some dance moves from a few older women or driving around town in his pickup truck, the singer is all smiles in the lighthearted video and his energy is infectious.

Lainey Wilson, Redneck Hollywood

Lainey Wilson teamed up with producer Jay Joyce (Eric Church, Little Big Town) for her first EP on BBR Music Group’s Broken Bow Records. A rollicking four-tracks that include the foot-stomping drinking song “Straight Up Sideways” and redneck anthem “LA,” Redneck Hollywood also shows Wilson’s sensitive side and knack at penning intriguing storylines as heard on the clever love song “Dirty Looks” and the reflective “Things A Man Oughta Know.”

Miranda Lambert, “Fooled Around and Fell In Love”

Lambert takes fans into the studio on her memorable cover of Elvin Bishop’s “Fooled Around and Fell In Love.” Featuring powerhouse vocals from all the women on her Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Tour including Morris, King, McBryde, Townes and Hammack, the cover is a reminder of the undeniable female talent with the genre. Lambert’s Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour launches tonight at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.

“The girls on the Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Tour can sing their asses off,” Lambert said in a statement. “There’s something crazy about seeing these artists with a new fire in their eyes. It reignites your own flame. I’m so excited to watch them every night on tour.”

Old Dominion, “Midnight Mess Around“

Old Dominion showcase their soul on the throwback “Midnight Mess Around.” Frontman Matthew Ramsey’s sultry vocals are highlighted alongside glimmering electric guitar and a seductive beat on the latest new song off their forthcoming self-titled third studio album due out Oct. 25.

Sam Fender’s Hypersonic Missiles (Polydor) is right on target for the U.K. chart crown.

The 25-year-old Newcastle singer and songwriter, who won the Brits Critics‘ Choice for 2019, an award previously won by Adele, Sam Smith and Florence + the Machine, takes a substantial lead on the Official U.K. Albums Chart Update with his debut LP.

Hypersonic Missiles is outselling the rest of the top 5 combined, according to the OCC, and is over 21,000 combined chart sales ahead of nearest rival, Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding (Republic Records), which dips 1-2.

Also on the midweek chart, Scottish artist Emeli Sande is eyeing a third top 10 album as Real Life (EMI) starts at No. 4, while Boston alternative rock legends Pixies are aiming for a sixth top 10, with Beneath the Eyrie (Infectious Music) opening at No. 5.

Meanwhile, The Lumineers could score a third top 10 with III (Decca), their third album which starts at No. 6, as metal vets Korn chase a fourth top 10 with The Nothing (Asylum), new at No. 7.

British singer and producer Charli XCX could earn a career-best when the Official U.K. Albums Chart is published this Friday. Her third release Charli (Asylum) starts at No. 10, well up from the No. 15 peak of her 2015 set Sucker.

There’s been some action at the point end of the Official Singles Chart Update, where Ed Sheeran and Stormzy’s “Take Me Back to London” (Asylum) takes top spot from “Don’t Call Me Angel” (Polydor/RCA/Republic Records), the Charlie’s Angels pop super-collaboration from Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus and Lana Del Rey, which enjoyed the best start over the weekend.

Kygo’s cover of „Higher Love“ (Columbia/Kygo) featuring the late Whitney Houston comes in at No. 3.

CLC Debut on Social 50 Chart on ‚Devil‘ Single Buzz

The excitement around „Devil“ helps boost the K-pop girl group onto a new chart.

Just over four years after CLC hit the K-pop scene, the buzz around the girl group’s latest single landed them inside the Social 50 chart.

CLC debut at No. 47 on Billboard’s Social 50 chart dated Sept. 14, 2019. The seven-member troupe saw a majority of their activity coming from Twitter for the tracking week of Aug. 30-Sept. 5, scoring 148,000 Twitter reactions and 61,000 Twitter mentions to bow on the ranking. The Social 50 is powered by data tracked by music analytics company Next Big Sound and ranks the most popular artists on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Wikipedia. The chart’s methodology blends weekly additions of friends/fans/followers with artist page views and engagement.

CLC fans were hyped ahead of the Sept. 6 release of „Devil,“ with the group’s official Twitter sharing sharing the single cover (the most-engaged with piece of content), parts of the song’s lyrics, group photos, two snippets of the music video and individual profile shots of the seven members all in the week ahead of the release. This is now CLC’s third time releasing new music in 2019 following their No.1 EP and summer single „Me.“

To date, CLC has entered several charts including World Albums (where No.1 earned them their first Top 5 entry earlier this year), Heatseekers Albums (their first entry also came thanks to No.1 earlier this year) and World Digital Song Sales (with three Top 5 singles, including „No“ from earlier this year which tied their peak position of No. 4 on the tally). While it’s still yet to see if CLC’s new song can enter the charts, the increased social attention indicates a healthy, growing interest and following in the band and could certainly lead to even more future Billboard success.

Check out the music video to CLC’s latest single „Devil“ — with more than five million views to date — as well as one of the first performances of the single on Korean music program Music Core below:
